Store Profile: Jubilee Furniture

If you follow me on Twitter (and you should, because that way you can see my mobile picture uploads from thrift stores and garage sales), you know I took a trip to Jubilee Furniture this weekend.

Jubilee Furniture is kind of a secret. In fact, until I just added one a few minutes ago, there wasn’t even a Yelp profile for this thrift outlet in Carol Stream. It probably doesn’t help that the store is located in B.F.E. and that it’s only open on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons, but if you can get out there — way out there — during the limited business hours it is worth the trip.

Jubilee is a literal warehouse of thrift store furniture (plus a few housewares) and everything is cheap, cheap, cheap. Sure, there are a lot of 1980s Victorian rip-off bedroom sets, but I found some decent vintage pieces for under $25. And some under $5.
