Ask the Readers: How Often Do You Change Your Palette?

Created with the Idee Multicolor Search Lab.
I hear that turquoise is the new trend for spring and summer. But that doesn’t stop my apartment from retaining its usual green-brown-yellow-orange-cream palatte. It’s not even intentional, it just seems that, whatever I buy, it’s in those earthy, fall colors. I know they’re totally not in style right now, right?
But recently I have acquired objects with pops of color I usually wouldn’t spring for: bright yellow, plum and turquoise, for example.
Still: NOT going to change the color scheme of my whole apartment just to follow trends.
Do YOU?

I find that my palate of blues, greens and black are not compromised by adding the occasional red, yellow or brown. I like to play with tones. It allows entire ranges, from a french blue vinyl chair to several pieces of turquoise pottery and many variations in between. My passion for lime green runs toward citron, nearly gold, on the velvet barrel chairs – which by the way will at some point be available on craigslist.org. I just don’t want to have regrets after their sale.
