Weekly Obsession: Creepy Porcelain
So my weekly guest post over at Paper’n'Stitch this week is all about the beastly side of bisque, inspired, in no small part, by Libby’s recent great yard sale find. (That’s Libby whose apartment was just profiled on BackGarage.)
You all know I’m a big, big fan of the Decoratus Absurdum (thank you, oh thank you, Tate Gunnerson), but sometimes I get the feeling I’m Johnny the Homicidal Maniac crashing a cheerleading retreat when I throw a little kink in the otherwise unending train of twee.
Of course I don’t expect most people will actually decorate with my beloved combination of Martha and Morticia, but I think it’s more what Libby calls “LOL” than “eeeeew.” (Seriously, it’s like I pulled an earthworm out of the ground over there on PNS.) I mean, just because something isn’t fawn-shaped doesn’t mean it’s not Etsy worthy. Right? Right???
Am I on a soapbox? Sorry, I’ll get down.

Just here to support the cause via a comment! Obviously, I am a fan on adding off touches to home decor. Fossils, bugs, and the icky ilk have been in my decoration rotation since I was a tot. Keep things curious!
