Thrift Score: Mark’s Milwaukee Apartment

My friend Mark recently moved back to Milwaukee after a brief stint living here in Chicago. Before his return he did some major thrifting and Craigslist scouring so his new Milwaukee apartment would be immediately up to standard.

Um, mission accomplished, dude. Here are some quick shots of Mark’s apartment with some major thrift scores. Mark’s At Home post is forthcoming.

Mark says:
The circular table, coffee table, and matching side tables came from the American Council for the Blind in West Allis (where I also saw a punky-looking woman snatch a Saarinen tulip table): $40 for the four-piece set.

The green chair came from a young couple in Riverwest: $40. The kitchen table and chairs ($80) and the chrome legged chair ($20) are from Madison. The orange chair is from Delavan, Wisconsin: $45.

The blonde cabinet is from Kenosha: $20. The orange “hide-a-bed” couch is from West Bend: $10 (not a typo, but has some cat damage… most unfortunately). The sideboard/credenza is from near Aurora, IL: $80.
I say:
Can you believe that &%^*#?
