eBay Find: $100 Eames Lounge

I got this heads-up from a reader yesterday:

I have been lurking your web site for some time and found it utterly refreshing.  Being of a mid-century modern mindset, there are often gems I can relate to.  I have inherited and sought out a few pieces of danish modern furniture recently and enjoy them in my decked out single bedroom apartment.

Recently, I read your post regarding your searching techniques for Craigslist and applied them to Ebay.  What do you think I found by searching with “funky chair” ?

I am not sure if this is an actual Herman Miller production or a knock off – but in either case it does need some help.  What pattern is that fabric – late seventies or early eighties?  As this particular item is for local pick up only, I am hoping that another reader of your site in and around Stafford, VA will have the passion to restore this beauty to its former glory.  I just couldn’t let this travesty go unnoticed.

Crazy!  Thanks for the tip.  While this chair is probably a knock-off (isn’t there something about 5-pointed base vs. 4-pointed base?), it’s still not a bad deal for $100.  If you know a good upholsterer.
