It all started at the Bazaar.

And then…

there they were again.

So I favorited them.

And then the light harassment began.

And then the RESERVATION.

So I had to purchase them, right?

Etsy Finds: GTD

make a list

Don’t laugh, but I’ve become a total GTD convert. Between my job, blog, shop and flea market if I’m going to get anything accomplished I need a system. And GTD is it for me.

Curious? Read “Getting Started with GTD” on 43 Folders.

For those GTD practitioners looking for a little vintage flair, how about these accessories to help you get things done?

Recap: The Vintage Bazaar

Vintage Bazaar line Dank Haus Mitsubishi

Well — if you can tell anything from the line out the door — we succeeded! (BTW, I stole this photo from Study — thanks!)

Libby and I didn’t anticipate, but were able to scramble to manage, the massive turnout we had for The Vintage Bazaar yesterday. Close to 3000 people (by DANK’s eyeball estimate) packed into the fifth floor Marunde Grande Ballroom at the DANK Haus to check out what all the amazing vendors had to offer.

Not only were we floored by the shopper turnout, we were totally amazed at all the fantastic stuff the vendors brought to showcase. I mean, seriously: Manly Vintage set up Super Mario Brothers on a vintage TV in their booth. And throughout the day shoppers were leaving with large furniture purchases and full shopping bags down the elevators. Amazing.

The food was good, the beer was good, the times were good. Even the pressing hordes were friendly (and we’re dealing with the crowd issue for next time, promise).

Thanks for coming out — hope you found something you liked.

Your Weekend Plans: The Vintage Bazaar

vintage bazaar libby katherine

Yesterday Libby asked if I had any tablecloths I can bring to The Vintage Bazaar and I said, “Libby, I don’t own any tablecloths. I’m a modernist.”

Hello? Is this mic on?

But seriously folks: is it the weekend of the Vintage Bazaar already? It seems like just yesterday I was sending my first cryptic Tweet about it. And now it’s here!

The Vintage Bazaar - a modern pop up flea market
@ DANK Haus, 4740 N Western
Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010
NOON – 5pm

You’re coming, right? 40 vintage vendors of varying varieties (seriously I did just make that up) all crammed into a giant ballroom with food and drink and DJ entertainment. Whatever the weather is, it’ll be nice inside DANK.

Read some vendor interviews on TVB vendor Heliopsis’ blog:
